Game Description

Claw, also known as Captain Claw, is a 2D side-scroller platform video game published by Monolith Productions in 1997 about an anthropomorphic pirate cat who sets on a quest to find an ancient amulet while fighting enemies and solving puzzles. It is Monolith’s second release after Blood, which was released that same year in May.

How to play on Windows

  1. and extract Captain_Claw_Win_Files_EN_v1.4.4.4.7z
  2. Open the “Game Files” folder and launch “CLAW.exe”. Your game should now launch.

    • I guess you cannot open archive for some reason, which is weird as I ed it as 7zip or zip and windows should be able to open it on deafult. Just install winrar, winzip or some unarchiver. If you are trying to open it on linux or mac, you better do it on windows or perhaps try to use Wine utility if this is still a thing.

    • Most likely your antivirus deleted it as it’s .exe file ed from internet. I dont know which one are you using, but check quarantine files or re- and put there some exception at 7zip file when extracting. Or perhaps it;s done directly by browser or some security addon. I ed game from archive and claw.exe is for sure there.

  4. I’m glad I found this game again! I can now relive my experience as a kid and the wonderful time I had failing to finish the game. Being older and “wiser” should help me beat the game this time around, right? Oh boy, I was sadly mistaken.

  5. This is MY CHILDHOOD right there!
    I’m from Brazil, and me and my cousin used to play this game non stop. We used to shared it, but after one fight over whom was turn to play it, her dad broke, “aciddentaly”, the CD in front of us!! I was about 8-9 years old that time, now i’m 28, and FINNALLY I’ll recovering from this trauma hahaha… Playing this again was a dream I wasnt sure if would come true, I searched for this game for a long thime, actually for almost a decade!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH.
